Salary: £52,000 – £56,000 + 10% performance bonus

Working location: Hybrid – 1 to 2 days per week in the Milton Keynes office and occasional travel required depending on business needs

Job summary

Are you passionate about bringing people with you through change? At NHBC, we’re looking for a Change Communications Specialist to help shape and share the stories behind our biggest transformation activities. You’ll join our Marketing & Communications team, but your impact will be felt organisation wide and beyond as you partner with a variety of stakeholders to craft clear, engaging and impactful messages. This is an exciting opportunity to influence how we communicate change to our colleagues and customers and to make a real difference across the business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading communication planning and delivery for some of NHBC’s most significant change programmes.
  • Developing communication strategies and plans to reflect different change phases and audience needs.
  • Advising programme teams on messaging, audience targeting and channels.
  • Building trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business.
  • Creating and delivering content across a range of internal channels and media.
  • Organising impactful events, such as town halls and webinars.
  • Working closely with the wider Marketing & Communications team to ensure messaging is joined-up and aligned to our strategy and purpose.
  • Measuring the impact of your communications and using insights to learn and make improvements.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in internal and change communications. External communications experience would be beneficial but not essential.
  • A strong writer and storyteller, confident turning complex messages into simple and engaging content.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and leading the development of communication strategies.
  • Creative, proactive and adaptable – someone who brings fresh ideas and gets things done.
  • Skilled at using data and feedback to improve communications approaches.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with multiple demands.
