You will support the maintenance and management of medical equipment in a clinical environment, contributing to the safe and effective operation of healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on a range of medical devices in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Support repair and troubleshooting activities on biomedical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Accurately complete service documentation using the internal asset management system.
- Maintain tools, test equipment, and inventory in accordance with internal procedures and industry regulations.
- Work collaboratively with clinical staff and third-party engineers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Adhere to health and safety standards and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Travel may occasionally be required within the region to support other clinical sites.
Essential:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Medical Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of engineering principles related to the maintenance and servicing of medical equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel).
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment.
- Awareness of medical device safety standards and compliance regulations.
- Exposure to medical equipment servicing during academic study or placement year.
- An Enhanced DBS Disclosure will be required prior to employment.
