An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and proactive Safety, Risk and Compliance Officer to join our Business and Operations Team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the College's commitment to providing a safe, compliant and well‑managed environment for students, staff and visitors through the effective coordination of workplace safety, risk management and compliance systems.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the College's workplace health and safety framework.
- Maintain the College Risk Register and support risk management processes across all areas of the College.
- Monitor compliance obligations and assist with policy, audit and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate incident, hazard and injury reporting and ensure appropriate follow‑up actions are implemented.
- Support emergency management planning, workplace inspections and safety initiatives.
- Provide reporting, data analysis and recommendations to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- A genuine commitment to workplace safety, wellbeing and continuous improvement.
- Experience in workplace health and safety, risk management, compliance or a related field.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships across a diverse school community.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Candidates must hold a valid visa and/or full Australian Working Rights and provide evidence of this.
