HVAP Shift Lead to oversee critical building operations within a high-profile, mission-critical environment. This role is responsible for leading shift operations, ensuring compliance and safe systems of work, and maintaining the performance and reliability of critical M&E infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate shift engineering operations within a critical environment
- Monitor and manage plant performance via BMS and CAFM systems
- Ensure all PPMs, reactive tasks, and statutory compliance activities are completed within SLA
- Manage HVAP responsibilities including isolations, permits to work, and safe systems of work
- Oversee incident management, escalations, and emergency response procedures
- Maintain accurate shift logs, technical reports, and operational documentation
- Supervise contractors and engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery
- Support energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide shift cover and operational support when required
Requirements
- NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Previous experience in a critical environment/data centre/high-profile commercial site
- HV Authorised Person (HVAP) status essential
- Strong understanding of critical M&E systems, BMS, and CAFM platforms
- Experience leading engineering teams in a shift environment
- Excellent knowledge of health & safety and statutory compliance
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
