We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer, to join our team in Staffordshire. This role can have a Mechanical or Electrical bias, with a preference for Mechanical, and report directly into the project lead for this job.
You will be responsible for the delivery on site by managing subcontractors and being conscious of H&S, Quality and ultimately the successful handover of the project. Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Ensuring that our safety first and foremost message is visible and alive through all activities on the project
- Participate in pre-commencement activities to maximise opportunities, efficiency and profitability
- Review the project scope of works to ensure precise provision of the customer’s requirements
- Lead the identification of project risks and opportunities, and take responsibility to mitigate or enhance those in your control
- Ensure engineering solutions are procured and delivered to financial and commercial objectives.
- Provide accurate and timely information on site progress to the Project Manager and Commercial Lead
- Manage any sub-contract resource if applicable.
- Provide leadership to project team members within your area of control, maximising performance and ensuring objectives are met.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships
- Ensure project is closed out in accordance with customer requirements, maximising project profitability
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience of managing project teams from preconstruction through to delivery and handover. Mechanical bias is desired but also open to Electrical bias. Specific experience on high value building service projects of £5M+.
