Manager/Quality Manager in Seascale

Quality Control Manager position available at Sellafield, Seascale. This is a permanent, full-time role with a competitive salary, car/car allowance, and flexible benefits.

The successful applicant will oversee the Quality Management System and manage a team of engineers and inspectors across the project. Responsibilities include:

• Defining, assembling, and managing the project quality team to meet contractual and company obligations in assurance, process compliance, quality control, defect management, and document control.
• Compiling, maintaining, and communicating the project quality plan.
• Ensuring that company/project/customer requirements are understood throughout the project team and that inspection, test, and quality processes reflect these requirements.
• Managing project delivery processes, including optimisation of surveillance and verification activities and closure of visual inspections and defect management.
• Ensuring project document management and configuration comply with company and project requirements, maintaining accurate records for TQs, technical submittals, and document transmission.
• Conducting periodic audits on project performance and representing the project at audits with internal or external stakeholders.
• Being a key member of the project senior leadership team, demonstrating authority in your duties.
• Ensuring project team members hold requisite qualifications and demonstrate appropriate competence.
• Maintaining positive relationships with the project customer and other external stakeholders through efficient delivery of project objectives.
• Producing, authorising, and storing all requisite test, inspection, and evidential records in accordance with legislative, company, and project requirements.

Qualifications and experience required:

• Extensive experience in quality management on construction/engineering projects.
• Qualifications in an Engineering discipline (ONC/HNC/HND in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC preferred but not required).
• Preferred membership of the Chartered Quality Institute.
• Previous experience in the nuclear or heavily regulated sectors is beneficial.
