Job Purpose
To operate directly with customers, suppliers, ECS internal Engineering, Fabrication production and sales teams to derive solutions, build proposals and cost projects which meet customers' technical and commercial requirements to produce accurate quotations/proposals that include margins, materials, labour and other associated costs including subcontracted elements.
To assist to drive business growth and maintain strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend site to scope and identify solutions to clients requirements.
- Keep clear, accurate records of enquiries, responses, and cost build ups to support the estimate and proposal documents
- Develop proposals which will include well written narrative on the technical aspects of the offer.
- Follow up submission of proposals and proactively follow up client queries to increase levels of customer interaction to secure orders.
- Upon contract win, you will participate in a launch meeting with the project delivery staff to hand over the project, including a detailed breakdown of the successful bid, technical risks and opportunities and support the PM with follow up queries through the early stages of the project lifecycle
- Ensure all client interactions and activities are recorded accurately
- Work closely with project delivery teams to gather feedback and lessons learned for continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with ECS policies, procedures and relevant industry standards
- Represent ECS values and act as a brand ambassador in all external interactions
- Support internal reporting, KPI tracking, and monthly/quarterly business reviews as required
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions and cross-departmental collaboration initiatives
Skills & Experience
- Experience of Sewage Treatment and Water Treatment sites and processes.
- Problem solving and solution development skills
- Good communication skills verbally and in writing
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to foster strong and collaborative working relationships at all levels
- Ability to process information accurately, quickly and logically.
- Full UK driving licence
- Background in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering (Desirable)
- Existing contact base in Severn Trent or Anglian Water (Desirable)
- Knowledge of AMP cycles and procurement within Water Treatment Sector (Desirable)
- Knowledge of CDM roles and responsibilities and H&S considerations in delivering projects. (Desirable)
