NG Bailey, the UK’s leading independent engineering and services business, are proud to be part of the
MEH Alliance , a joint venture to deliver the
Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC installation for the project.
As part of recent growth on this project, we have a new vacancy for a
Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to join us based in Bridgwater.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include
- Supporting the Area Lead to deliver the scope of work.
- Provide a weekly report on progress and update to programme.
- Review construction engineering deliverables as issued by the client and ensure the team are working to the latest issue.
- Construction method improvement plans.
- Lead and foster a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.
- Ensure CWPs are delivered on time to ensure no delays to construction activities.
- Ensure all materials and tooling are delivered ready for construction activities.
- Ensure CEMAR management as required to raise EWNs and support Cost Advice process.
- Ensure Configuration Control is maintained across the scope works information.
- Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
What we’re looking for
- A relevant degree or HNC/above in a relevant discipline (Mechanical or Electrical) and/or substantial experience as a Project Engineer or similar role on large scale construction projects.
- Experience in nuclear or other highly regulated sectors (preferred).
- Professional accreditation (preferred).
- Auto CAD and Navis Works knowledge (desirable).
- Knowledge of NEC ECC Contract (desirable).
- We are able to offer a competitive salary with generous uplift and allowances for working away from home where required.
