We have an exciting new opportunity for a Planner to join our team based in Glasgow. The main purpose of the role is to plan the allocated high value / complex project producing workable realistic and efficient programmes of work which meet an appropriate standard for the contract conditions and both internal and client requirements. Plans will be implemented with the best-practice approach utilising Critical Path Analysis, Resource Planning, Cost Management and Progress/Productivity Monitoring and Control. This is a permanent staff position with NG Bailey - please note that the successful applicant will need to be able to obtain security clearance once in post.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate appropriate health and safety leadership to ensure the safety first and foremost message is visible and alive throughout all activities.
  • Ensure that all planning related activities are carried out in compliance with contractual obligations, internal processes and external legislation governing business operations.
  • Arrange and facilitate integrated planning meetings, engaging with all relevant stakeholders to develop and agree the plan.
  • Participate within bid activities as required.
  • Work closely with relevant project personnel and external customer in order to produce/agree a contract baseline programme for each allocated project.
  • Maintain and update contract baseline in line with any agreed contract changes, ensuring changes are communicated to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure that progress and productivity is effectively monitored against project plan, produce clear reports for all stakeholders.
  • Ensure that planning outputs/reports are produced for contract reviews.
  • Support the operational teams in order to ascertain whether project targets are being achieved and jointly establish and agree any corrective measures where necessary.
  • Perform time/risk analysis against programmes at regular intervals with the planning manager/senior planner, and the project manager.
Requirements
  • Considerable experience in a planning role on medium to large MEP projects.
  • Primavera/Asta Powerproject.
  • A relevant industry or professional qualification/apprenticeship.
