An opportunity has arisen for a Workforce Coordinator to join NG Bailey’s Southern Engineering division. Working closely with operational teams, you will play a key role in supporting workforce planning, operative mobilisation, payroll coordination and recruitment administration within a fast-paced MEP environment. This is a varied and highly organised role, supporting the smooth day-to-day coordination of workforce activities across multiple projects and locations.

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

  • Coordinating workforce requirements across multiple projects and locations
  • Supporting operational teams with labour planning, mobilisation and workforce allocation
  • Managing workforce administration including onboarding, transfers and operative records
  • Supporting weekly payroll processes, ensuring timesheets and pay information are accurate and submitted on time
  • Acting as a key point of contact for operatives regarding payroll queries, site allocations and workforce updates
  • Assisting with recruitment coordination including interview scheduling, onboarding and hiring administration
  • Maintaining accurate workforce, payroll and recruitment records within internal systems
  • Supporting compliance with industry agreements and workforce standards including JIB and BESA requirements
  • Working closely with operational management, HR and payroll teams to support workforce delivery across live projects

What we’re looking for:

A confident and organised coordinator who can operate effectively in a busy environment and manage multiple workforce, payroll and recruitment activities simultaneously. An individual with strong communication and administration skills, who is comfortable supporting operational teams and working closely with both site and office-based stakeholders. Experience in the following would be beneficial:

  • Workforce coordination, labour allocation or resource planning
  • Payroll administration or weekly pay coordination
  • Recruitment or onboarding administration
  • Managing workforce records and employee documentation
  • Working within a construction, engineering or MEP environment
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
