NG Bailey have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Quality Inspector to work on the Sellafield site near Seascale (CA20 1PG). This is a full-time permanent position based onsite at Sellafield. The project has options in place for applicants who are working away from home through the week and generous uplifts and allowances are offered to accommodate this.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections in accordance with the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
  • Liaise with client’s representative for conducting day to day inspection during the construction activities.
  • Ensure all MEP systems to be installed are covered by an inspection and test plan, and that production, approval and completion is tracked.
  • Monitor progress of installations and carry out surveillance of systems to ensure installation is in accordance with specification and standards.
  • Assist QC manager and Engineers in executing their responsibilities.
  • Maintain LTQR’s as required during inspections ensuring all signatures on LTQR and ITP during inspection.
  • Work with supply chain manager to review quality of our supply chain, ensuring sub contractors understand and follow NGB internal procedures.
  • Coordinate with sub contractors when information is required from them for any documentation.
  • Conduct Supply Audits as required, some travel may be required to do this.
  • Ensure relevant teams hold the necessary qualifications and competencies for which they are employed.
  • Ensure any on site training requirements are taken.
  • Carry out toolbox talks and deliver presentations where required.
  • Undertake regular audits highlighting and escalating any non conformances or defects.
  • Identify and escalate any project risks.
  • Provide project reviews and reports where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Electrical/Electronics/instrumentation, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience).
  • Electrical Inspection & Testing 2391 qualification.
  • Substantial experience of Quality Control during the installation, inspection and testing of electrical and instrument systems associated with process plant during construction and operation.
  • Able to achieve BPSS vetting.
  • Driving license required (this role will require some travel for supply chain audits).
