We're seeking a Defence Sales Manager to join our IT Services business. This individual will be responsible for driving strategic growth particularly in the Defence sector by identifying, pursuing, and securing new opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a Defence sector sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
- Engage with MOD departments including Frontline Commands, Defence Digital, Defence Infrastructure Organisation, and other support organisations.
- Build and maintain relationships with prime contractors.
- Monitor the Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP) and other applicable portals daily to identify relevant opportunities.
- Lead the process for securing registration on the Commercial Procurement & Financial (CPF) system and manage compliance requirements.
- Ensure familiarity with MOD commercial frameworks, DEFCON terms, and procurement regulations.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of Defence opportunities and manage bids to successful conclusion.
- Collaborate with internal delivery teams to ensure proposals meet client requirements and compliance standards.
- Report on KPIs including qualified opportunities sourced, bid success rate, and revenue contribution.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in Defence sector sales and business development.
- Expert knowledge of MOD procurement processes, including DSP and CPF systems.
- Strong network within MOD departments and prime contractors.
- Understanding of MOD commercial frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- SC Clearance is essential for this role.
