Freedom is currently recruiting for a civils ganger to be part of a team undertaking asset replacement works supporting the upgrade and replacement of substation equipment in a manner that delivers safe, high-quality workmanship and fit for purpose networks for our DNO customers, and which promotes the company in a positive light at all times. The role is based across the northwest of England.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Support with excavation and reinstatement work on small secondary substations to support the replacement of plant/equipment
- Erection of SL&G to ensure that the public are kept safe at all times
- Installation of LV and 11kv cabling
- Installation of form work for plinth constructions for electrical equipment
- Cat scanning/pre-vetting and planning works
- Tar work reinstatement within footpath and highways
- Ensuring good quality workmanship to prevent defects
- Recognise best practices and promote innovation ideas.
What we’re looking for:
- Background of working with utilities
- Minimum of 5 years practical background
- Site safety passport and/or experience of working on CDM sites
- First Aid
- Cat and genny
- Excavator tickets - Desirable
- Full Driving Licence
