Freedom's Network Services team have a fantastic opportunity for an HGV & Plant Operator Driver to join our Operations team based in Catterick, North Yorkshire. This is a hands-on role supporting our Overhead Lines team by delivering essential plant and equipment to site and assisting with installation on the network.

Responsibilities

  • Driving HGV vehicles to transport materials, plant, and equipment to sites across North Yorkshire.
  • Operating lorry-mounted cranes (HIAB) and plant machinery on site.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles using fitted cranes and forklift trucks.
  • Supporting Overhead Linesmen with the erection of plant onto the network.
  • Managing lifting, carrying, and accessing vehicle beds safely.
  • Maintaining a proactive and results-driven approach to daily tasks.
  • Ensuring all deliveries and operations are completed in line with safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

  • Valid HGV licence.
  • HIAB certification (essential).
  • Previous experience in overhead line or utility sector (preferred).
  • Experience operating plant machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and strong communication skills.
