Kick off a career in the high-growth field of project management. In Freedom you'll learn project management skills for the planning/delivery on electrical infrastructure works and communicate as an effective project leader. You will get the skills required to become a project manager, you will be mentored, have hands-on experience and be provided with career support. The role reports directly to the Project Manager, with development overseen by the Operations manager. As part of the traineeship, you will work with Commercial, operations, safety and the administration team to get a full understanding.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Support the planning and delivery of works.
- Customer engagement.
- Assist/support the Management of the Installation, build and refurbishment of overhead lines and underground cable schemes through to Asset replacement works.
- Support and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of Freedom and its customers.
- Maintain and develop own competence in accordance with legislative changes and customer requirements.
- Support and provide guidance to team members to ensure the safe, effective and efficient implementation of Freedom's operations.
- Assist/support in managing all aspects of projects safely, competently and effectively to time and budget, working closely with the Project Manager as required.
- Specifically, assist with invoicing, completion of switching schedules and outage planning.
- Where necessary assist with the management and resolution of customer complaints.
- Liaise closely with Project Manager to ensure co-ordinated use of all resources for effective completion of work.
- Provide guidance on and monitor your team's approach to safety rules and procedures, method statements and risk assessments.
- Liaise with third parties to ensure the smooth implementation of work.
- Maintain awareness of and conform to Freedom's SHE policy and issued safety instructions.
- Maintain site safety at all times and complete daily risk assessments where required.
- Ensure that accidents and near misses are suitably reported, recorded and investigated and that remedial action is carried out promptly.
- Report any concerns regarding SHE to the SHE team.
- Implement Freedom's values.
- Prepare project safety and CDM plans and Risk Assessments as part of the overall programme.
- Ensure that all statutory records, certificates, licences, notifications and notices are in place.
- Conduct site safety inspections (SSI's) and complete associated paperwork.
Qualifications:
- Strong collaboration, communication and influencing skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Driving licence.
- Good I.T. Skills.
