NG Bailey Facilities Services are expanding our team and are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical / HVAC Supervisor to ensure that Reactive Maintenance and Remedial Works are planned and executed in accordance with contract requirements across Mechanical Services, HVAC Services and associated systems at the prestigious Wembley Stadium.
Responsibilities
- Directly manage 3 line staff, ensuring all HR and operational activities create a safe, healthy and proactive culture.
- Maintain adherence to engineering standards and Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
- Ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are followed and accurate records/documentation for mechanical/HVAC aspects are maintained.
- Apply knowledge of BMS and Control Systems for mechanical plant fault diagnosis and setup.
- Conduct people management activities including safety briefings, absence reporting, performance reviews, annual leave and timesheet approvals, and plan staff training.
- Oversee repairs to HVAC plant, associated systems, pipework, and pumps (including mechanical seal replacement) to a high standard and minimise downtime.
- Respond promptly to helpdesk‑related reactive maintenance issues for heating, ventilation, pumps, water tanks, valves, pipework and other mechanical systems.
- Assist other trades as required.
- Use CAFM, Smartsheets and subcontractor portals to capture work output.
- Manage supply‑chain interactions, particularly for quoted/project works.
- Send detailed shift reports to management.
- Support event‑day delivery.
Working hours: 40 hours – Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm + overtime.
Qualifications
- An experienced Contracts Supervisor (Mechanical) with a proactive fault‑finding approach to engineering and personable communication skills with clients.
- NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 – Plumbing, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning 6187 or equivalent.
- City & Guilds 2079 – F Gas Regulations (Desirable).
- Experience in electrical and mechanical aspects of general building service, repair and installation.
- Exceptional knowledge of mechanical systems and heating & ventilation systems.
- Knowledge of electrical principles, including safe isolation, controls and basic fault‑finding.
- Experience using Trend BMS.
- Authorised Person – Mechanical (Desirable).
