About the Role

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? NG Bailey Facilities Services is on the lookout for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. You'll be part of a forward-thinking company, responsible for maintaining five commercial buildings, all within a short walk of each other in the heart of Manchester.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Perform PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant, HVAC equipment, and building services infrastructure.
• Ensure maintenance aligns with SFG20 standards and contractual SLAs/KPIs.
• Maintain plant rooms and service areas to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Follow method statements, risk assessments, and safety legislation to ensure compliance.
• Deliver excellent service by completing PPM tasks and reactive works within SLAs.
• Conduct operational activities in line with internal regulations and external legislation.
• Work independently and manage reactive works and small projects.
• Accurately complete documentation, logbooks, and compliance records.
• Identify defects, recommend remedial actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, with no on-call duties!

What We're Looking For

We seek an experienced technician who is dedicated to delivering high-quality building services in a commercial environment, with a strong focus on customer service.

• Level 3 Equivalent in a Mechanical Discipline, with BMS experience and multi-skilling capabilities.
• Experience in servicing and repairing heating/cooling systems and water systems.
• Skills in small mechanical installations (valves, taps, etc.).
• Proficiency in M&E fault-finding.
• User knowledge/experience of BMS/Controls.
• Experience with PPMs for pumps, AHUs, FCUs, and more.
• Legionella qualification/experience.
• Understanding of RAMS, point of work risk assessments, and permits.
• Experience managing subcontractors.
• Familiarity with digital CAFM systems on smartphones or tablets.
• Unvented hot water qualification & IPAF certification are desirable.
