No two buildings or contracts are ever the same.

This role will be based at our Drakes Circus contract.

  • As an NG Bailey apprentice you will
  • Train at one of the top performing colleges or training providers in the country.
  • Learn about our award‑winning approach to working safely.
  • Work indoors, outdoors, and occasionally at height.
  • Be prepared for early starts and travel away from home when necessary.
  • Develop great working relationships with some of the industry's most talented people.
  • Have a strong support network giving you the chance to build your confidence and use your initiative.
  • You will learn to
  • Follow a schedule to test and maintain all heating, ventilation and water systems correcting any faults you may find.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Use the Building Management System to control and monitor the electrical, heating and ventilation systems.
  • Use small hand tools such as hammers, saws, screwdrivers etc.
  • Implement essential safety procedures before working on systems.
  • Assist with minor electrical maintenance.
  • Work with other trades and gain experience from their knowledge.
  • Develop strong customer service and client relationship building skills.

You will attend Leeds College of Building on block release to complete the Building Services Engineer Service and Maintenance Level 3 Apprenticeship.

In addition, you will regularly attend in‑house training and development as part of the programme.

To apply you need

3 GCSEs (or equivalent) – Grade C/4 or above in English Language, Maths and Science.

  • Please note, to be eligible for an apprenticeship you
  • Must be able to complete the apprenticeship within the required time, including the End‑Point Assessment.
  • Must have a valid and eligible residency status and the right to work in England.
  • Must be ordinarily resident in the UK or its territories for at least 3 years before starting the apprenticeship.
