We have an exciting opportunity for a Planner to join our team working on a MOD project in Reading. The main purpose of the role is to support the planning function on the project and produce realistic and efficient programmes of work that meet contractual requirements, project objectives, and client expectations. Weekly programme updates, progress reporting, and stakeholder engagement will form a key part of the role.
Key Deliverables
- Ensure that all planning-related activities are carried out in compliance with contractual obligations, internal processes, and external legislation governing business operations.
- Support the development and maintenance of project programmes, engaging with key stakeholders to ensure plans remain accurate and achievable.
- Assist with the preparation and updating of contract baseline programmes and reflect agreed changes where required.
- Monitor project progress and productivity against programme, producing clear and accurate reports for project teams and clients.
- Support project reviews by providing planning outputs and identifying programme risks, opportunities, and corrective actions where required.
- Assist with time and risk analysis activities alongside the Project Manager and wider project team.
Requirements
- Experience in a planning role within the construction industry, ideally on MEP / Building Services projects.
- Construction site experience or exposure to live project environments.
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6.
- A relevant industry qualification or apprenticeship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance due to the nature of the project.
- Will need SC clearance.
