As a BIM Technician with NG Bailey, you will have a diverse, challenging and rewarding day. You will learn from an experienced Engineering Team and develop your skills with the industry’s best.
Apprenticeship role and learningAs an NG Bailey apprentice you will:
- Train at one of the top performing colleges or training providers in the country.
- Learn about our award-winning approach to working safely.
- Work both in an office and visit construction sites.
- Be prepared for early starts and travel away from home when necessary.
- Develop great working relationships with some of the industry's most talented people.
- Have a strong support network giving you the chance to build your confidence and use your initiative.
You will learn to:
- Understand the purpose of BIM (Building Information Modelling) & CAD (Computer Aided Design) in the construction industry.
- Use the latest 3D modelling techniques to create virtual services systems.
- Understand how BIM is implemented throughout a project lifecycle.
- Create detailed drawings in a live model.
- Work closely with and build working relationships with a range of engineers in the business.
- Coordinate a wide range of building systems and plant to pre-set detailed standards and constraints.
- Use a variety of high end and specialist software packages.
We are looking for people who:

You will attend Leeds College of Building on block release to complete the Level 3 Digital Engineering Technician apprenticeship and regularly attend in-house training and development as part of the programme.
To apply you need3 GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in English Language, Maths and Science.
Please note, to be eligible for an apprenticeship you:
- Must be able to complete the apprenticeship within the required time, including the End-Point Assessment.
- Must have a valid and eligible residency status and the right to work in England.
- Must be ordinarily resident in the UK or its territories for at least 3 years before starting the apprenticeship.
