We are currently seeking a BIM (Building Information Modelling) Coordinator to join our growing team out of our Leeds Head Office. This role will be responsible for producing and maintaining coordinated building information models/drawings to assist in the overall design, construction and manufacturing process. This role is a great chance to join part of a growing team that will give you the opportunity to grow and develop your career within one of the leading M&E contractors in the UK.
Key Deliverables
- Hold regular coordination review meetings, using 3D model as a discussion tool and highlighting variations and forecasting overspend, to ensure timely communication between the department and the wider construction team.
- Produce drawings from 3D models for design stage, installation and/or manufacture.
- Work from engineers/designers' calculations, rough sketches or drawings to produce coordinated, accurate and structured models; incorporating NG Bailey Offsite solutions wherever possible.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all MEP systems relevant to the installation commissioning and maintenance of services, to ensure optimised coordinated solutions and enable CDM compliance.
- Visit site to gain practical experience of installation practices and apply these to improve modelling and coordination effectiveness.
What we're looking for
- Solid experience in BIM with CAD and Revit experience, ideally within an MEP environment.
- Ability to think outside of the box, solution orientated.
- Fantastic communication skills.
- Client experience, ability to walk the client through what they are seeing where the client has little to no BIM or CAD knowledge.
