I am working exclusively with a Northallerton based client who are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join their team on a part time basis. This is a 6 month contract, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday (ideally 6 hours per day).
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, has excellent organisational skills and can manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with scheduling and processing national and international deliveries in line with daily plans
- Liaise with customers and third-party providers to ensure deliveries are booked in efficiently and on time
- Monitor performance of logistics providers and help drive improvements where required
- Prepare relevant transport documentation for both UK and export shipments
- Manage activities associated with returnable packaging and resolve any queries with hauliers
- Provide support and cover across the logistics team when needed
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with experience of using internal systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with internal teams and external partners
This role would suit an active team player who thrives in a fast paced environment, whilst also being able to work autonomously when required.
