Finance Assistant – Harrogate
Finance Assistant, £28,000-£30,000, Harrogate
An established business in Harrogate is recruiting for a finance assistant. You will support the finance function by maintaining accurate and up-to-date purchase and sales records.
Responsibilities
- Process purchase and sales invoices
- Create payment runs
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Calculate and organise student refunds
- Maintain transactional ledgers and resolve outstanding issues
- Bank reconciliations
- Run aged debtors and aged creditors reports
- Support the finance managers and management accountants in the resolution of queries
- Build and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Skills & Experience
- Purchase ledger experience is essential
- High level of input accuracy and an eye for detail to spot discrepancies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Good level of Excel skills and overall IT literacy
- AAT qualification would be an advantage (not essential)
- Experience using Microsoft Navision is an advantage; training can be provided
