The National Farmers Union (NFU) is the biggest farming organisation in the UK. Purpose of the role & how you will contribute:
You will play a key role in supporting the team's work on commercial and political issues across the food supply chain. You will help shape food-related policy, share insight with colleagues and members, and contribute to effective communication on key developments. Through research, retailer reviews, liaison with stakeholders and collaborative project work, you will support the NFU's mission to champion British food and farming.
What you will bring:
You will bring a solid understanding of the food supply chain, agricultural or horticultural production, and the wider food industry, supported by a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to explain complex information clearly. You will be confident working both independently and as part of a team, with good analytical skills, sound organisation, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A passion for British food and farming, willingness to travel, and the ability to build effective relationships will help you thrive in this role.

Who we are:
Every day, we are the voice of around 43,000 British farmers and growers who produce food, making sure their concerns are heard at the heart of government both online and locally.
