Act as a trusted and effective partner to Regional Agents in the delivery of outstanding, compliant sales of NFUM products, promoting best practice and delivering excellent customer outcomes.
Shape standards at the face of the Agency Network through monitoring, assessing and coaching Agents, delivering constructive feedback and effective development plans. This is a regional field-based role, covering Wales. Typically, 3 days field based and 2 days WFH.
In this role, youâll work shoulder to shoulder with our Agency Network to influence, monitor and uplift the quality of sales and service across your region. Youâll spend time in agencies and with customers, seeing how things really work and offering practical advice, structured coaching and clear feedback that helps Agents and their teams meet the highest standards. Youâll support new Agents to attain competence, and youâll coach experienced teams to embed great habits, reduce breaches and complaints, and deliver consistently fair outcomes. Often on a â121â basis and sometimes in a workshop environment. Youâll partner closely with regional leadership, including the Governance & Controls Manager (GCM) and the Regional Regulatory Controller (RRC), to oversee Appointed Representative (AR) monitoring, contribute to breach investigations and help implement corrective actions that stick. Youâll use insight from agency visits and MI to spot trends, share best practice and influence improvements to processes, training and customer journeys. Because youâll be driving quality assurance for our Agency network, youâll also play a vital role in supporting adoption of changes in product offerings and the sales process, making sure Agents understand whatâs new, how it benefits customers, and how to position it with confidence and clarity. Youâll champion NFU Mutualâs quality culture and our commitment to doing the right thing for customers, every time. This role falls under Insurance Distribution Directive requirements, and as a result, role holders will be required to demonstrate ongoing Continuous Professional Development in role, along with undergoing regular re-screening to show that they are of âGood Reputeâ.
Youâre a natural relationship builder who thrives in the field and enjoys meeting people where they are. Your communication style is clear, warm and direct; you listen actively, coach constructively and influence with evidence. Youâre collaborative and accountable, able to navigate complexity with resilience and adaptability. You spot problems early, think innovatively about solutions, and have the initiative to act. Youâre organised and calm under pressure, balancing competing priorities while keeping customer outcomes front and centre. Above all, you care about doing the right thing and helping others succeed. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate that you possess the following:
- NFUM Product licences, (or be willing to undertake licencing).
- Regulatory Compliance Knowledge - Strong understanding of FCA regulations and NFUM governance standards.
- Training & Competence Framework Expertise - Able to implement and monitor T&C requirements for Agents and staff, providing effective feedback and coaching.
- Sales Quality Monitoring evaluates sales practices against quality and regulatory benchmarks.
