Working Hours:Were offering you a 35-hour week with shift patterns running from Monday to Friday between 8am to 6pm and some Saturday mornings. We offer a hybrid working model which means that once youve completed probation, you can work from the comfort of your own home for up to 80% of the time. You\’ll also have the chance to extend your contractual hours up to 40 per week, with condensed working hours optional too.

You dont need to have worked in insurance before, well teach you everything you need to know. Underwriting is all about assessing risk and making fair, informed decisions to help people and businesses get the right insurance cover. Whether its a family insuring their home or a business protecting its assets, youll play a key role in making sure theyre properly supported.
Most of your day will be spent speaking with our NFU Mutual Agencies over the phone, reviewing customer information, and deciding how best to help. Youll be trained to understand different types of insurance, how to evaluate risk, and how to communicate clearly and confidently. Youll also be part of a cohort of new starters, learning together through a structured training programme that includes classroom sessions, shadowing experienced colleagues, and ongoing support from your manager and team.

Recruitment process
Our recruitment process consists of a few simple steps: an online application, a friendly introduction call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team, and a skills-focused interview at our Bristol office. Interviews will be held in September, with some sessions available in the evenings for your convenience.
While the core skills and assessments are the same, at offer stage well aim to match successful candidates with the team that best suits their strengths, preferences, and our business needs. Please note that while well take preferences into account, we cant guarantee a specific team placement, however we will discuss the options with you during your introduction call.

- Insurance experience(ideal) Any previous experience in insurance will be helpful, but well teach you everything you need to know if youre new to the industry.
