The Risk Management Services (RMS) team at NFU Mutual is the largest Risk Management Consultancy in the UK, with unrivalled experience and knowledge of the rural sector. Our Risk Management Consultants span two disciplines: Loss Control and Health and Safety. Both are customer-facing roles with wide exposure to the NFU Mutual client base.
Our Loss Control team works on behalf of the insurer, focusing on loss prevention from an insurance claim perspective, providing on-the-ground knowledge to our underwriters while supporting our customers with important advice on how to improve their risk.
Our Health and Safety team works on behalf of the client to help them comply with legislation governing health and safety in the workplace, preventing accidents for their staff and customers. Both teams advise our customers on how to reduce losses and have fewer accidents, which ultimately helps NFU Mutual with one of its key strategic objectives: sustainable, profitable growth.
Our key teams:
- Risk Management - Health and Safety Consultants: The Health and Safety consultants work primarily through the NFU Mutual Agency Network and provide advice to customers to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
- Risk Management - Loss Control Consultants: The Loss Control consultants work on behalf of NFU Mutual Underwriters, carrying out customer visits and surveying commercial and residential premises to understand associated risks and minimise potential loss.
- Management and Administration: Based in our Stratford upon Avon offices, our Management and Administration team provides administrative, project, and technical support to our Risk Management Consultants and other NFU Mutual departments.
Our Risk Management Services team is made up of three key teams that work together across the UK to deliver value to both our customers and NFU Mutual. Join one of these teams and you could be involved in a variety of work, such as:
- Providing Health & Safety services.
- Conducting Loss Control insurance surveys.
- Completing mandatory small farm surveys.
Developing your career: The work the RMS team does directly impacts our customers by ensuring they work as safely as possible. We provide an extensive training period for new consultants to ensure they are properly equipped in their role.
