Unique and specialist estates market opportunity, shaping strategy and proposition. Influence pricing, products and support for estates customers, including heritage properties. Field based role with a company car and flexible location, with travel to Stratford upon Avon Head Office when required.

About the role: You will be the estates sector subject matter expert within our General Insurance Sales Development team, using your industry insight and relationships to help shape how we support estates customers. You will influence sector pricing, product and policy design, service and training needs, helping us achieve strong and sustainable growth in this specialist market. In this role, you will work closely with agents, regional sales teams and underwriters. You will coach and support colleagues on estates specific risks and customer needs, helping to strengthen capability and confidence when winning and retaining business. You will also develop and monitor estates sales strategies and implementation plans, using insight and analysis to focus activity where it will have the greatest impact. You will build influential relationships across the estates industry, including trade associations and professional bodies, to spot trends and opportunities early and help shape our approach. You will share estates market developments through a range of channels, supporting strong risk awareness and positioning NFU Mutual as a trusted expert.

This is a field-based role, so you will be out meeting customers and partners across your area, with the flexibility to work from a location that suits you. You will also need to travel to Head Office in Stratford upon Avon when required. This role falls under Insurance Distribution Directive requirements, and as a result, role holders will be required to demonstrate ongoing Continuous Professional Development in role, along with undergoing regular re-screening to show that they are of “Good Repute”. About you: You thrive in a specialist, relationship led role where your credibility in the estates market opens doors and helps others succeed. You enjoy turning insight into practical sales strategies, and you are confident influencing stakeholders to improve outcomes for customers and colleagues. To join us, you will bring:

  • Experience in commercial insurance, ideally within a sales distribution role
  • Sales development management experience within a commercial general insurance environment
  • Significant estates market experience, gained through an insurer, a land agency, or a brokerage
  • Strong technical competence in estates risk, with the ability to explain solutions clearly and credibly
  • The ability to develop short term and long term sales strategies, supported by analysis and insight
  • A professional insurance qualification such as the Advanced Diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute, known as ACII, is preferred, and we will support you to achieve it if you are not already qualified.
