About the role: We are recruiting a permanent Commercial Propositions Manager to help achieve NFU Mutual’s long-term strategic growth ambitions for our commercial non-farm business across our focus sectors. This role offers the opportunity to shape propositions, products and services that meet evolving business customer needs and support sustainable, profitable growth. You will lead key strategic work to identify opportunities, develop our commercial offering and translate customer and market insight into practical improvements.
Our Propositions team acts as the voice of the customer, developing, enhancing and managing propositions to meet the needs of our target customers and support NFU Mutual’s growth. You will help ensure that customer understanding informs our commercial priorities and the products and services we deliver. As Commercial Propositions Manager, you will lead a small team to define, develop and deliver proposition and product enhancements across our commercial non-farm focus sectors. The role offers visibility across the business and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a core growth area for NFU Mutual. Sitting within our Customer Services division, you will lead and contribute to the evaluation, design and development of commercial propositions. Your remit will span our non-farm business rather than a single customer size segment, with a focus on strengthening our offering in the sectors where we see opportunities for long-term growth. You will help deliver new services and enhancements for customers, test proposition ideas and inform future development priorities.
Researching and analysing customer needs, sector trends and the competitive landscape will be central to your work, helping ensure our propositions remain relevant and competitive and support our strategic growth ambitions. Working with colleagues across the business, you will contribute to key strategic initiatives and develop proposition plans grounded in market, sector and customer insight. You will build support for recommendations and guide colleagues on how our propositions meet customer needs, how they should be positioned and what differentiates them from competitors.
This role is based in our Stratford upon Avon office. We understand how important a positive work-life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you are in the office and support you to work 20% of your hours from home.
About you: You are a strategic and customer-focused leader who builds strong relationships, influences senior colleagues and translates insight into practical delivery. You manage competing priorities confidently, keep sight of commercial outcomes and lead and develop others to deliver shared objectives. To join NFU Mutual, you’ll also bring:
- Proven experience of developing and implementing commercial insurance propositions or products for business customers
- Strong knowledge of the commercial insurance market and the needs of business customers across different sectors
- Experience of using customer, market and competitor insight to identify opportunities and deliver commercial results
- Experience of developing proposition plans and delivering improvements across multiple workstreams
