Provide essential operational and administrative support to Underwriting and wider business teams.

Full time, permanent position based in Bristol with 60% hybrid working.

About the role

This is a varied and important role within our Operational Support function, where you’ll help essential work move smoothly across our claims and underwriting support teams. Working across two closely connected teams, you’ll complete a broad range of operational and administrative activities that support colleagues, customers and the wider business. Your work will include reviewing electronic post and routing scanned or unreferenced items to the correct destination, as well as sorting, storing and forwarding physical post to internal teams or external organisations. You’ll also support a range of manual processing activities across claims and underwriting, with the nature and volume of this work continuing to develop as our systems evolve. Alongside this, you’ll contribute to reception, post and general office cover as part of a shared team rota. You’ll work closely with colleagues across both teams, sharing priorities and communicating effectively to make sure work continues to flow smoothly. This is a role where variety is part of the appeal. One day you may be focused on electronic post or system-based processing, while another could involve supporting reception, coordinating requests or learning a new operational activity. You’ll be encouraged to take ownership of your workload, use your initiative and move proactively to the next priority.

About you

You communicate effectively and bring strong organisation and attention to detail to your work. You use a customer focused approach and practical problem-solving skills to provide a dependable service. You value teamwork, take a proactive approach and bring a learning mindset when priorities, tasks or ways of working change.

  • Previous and demonstrable customer service experience, essential
  • Administrative experience, highly desirable
  • IT literacy, including the ability to navigate and filter information in Excel, plus proficient use of Microsoft Office packages, essential
