We believe that commercial business presents our biggest growth opportunity over the longer term and this is an opportunity to be an integral part of that growth. Working in partnership with our tied Agency Network and Sales teams in the North East, you’ll support the development of new business pipelines, attend client visits as required, gain increased exposure and develop your experience and understanding of various risks, whilst underwriting your own personal caseload. You’ll be a key point of technical excellence to the Agency Network and Sales Force, providing clear direction on NFUM Underwriting strategy, Risk Appetite and the technical knowledge and skills to deliver objectives, KPI’s and first-class customer service. Using your market knowledge and expertise, you’ll apply a ‘whole account’ underwriting philosophy, working in collaboration with cross-divisional teams and supporting with the identification of new mid-market opportunities. The role is homebased and it is expected that the successful candidate will be on the road on average 2-3 days per week, covering the North East.## About youIf you’re a self-starter with extensive new business Commercial Underwriting experience, this is a great opportunity for you to join a business that will value you, and where you can really make a difference and contribute to its’ development.
