Overview
Lead Pricing Analyst role at NFU Mutual within the Risk Pricing team, Large Corporate Insurance. You will apply pricing discipline and act as a technical role model to influence and deliver department projects, including supporting Commercial growth targets beyond farming.
Responsibilities
- Carry out case pricing for household-name clients using experience-based pricing models and discuss outcomes with underwriters.
- Perform technical reviews of underlying pricing model assumptions.
- Extract, check, monitor and analyse data; identify performance trends and opportunities to drive performance and achieve wider business objectives.
- Utilise pricing techniques, software skills and industry experience to enhance the team\’s technical capability and ensure accurate prices for customers.
- Take initiative to drive your own work forward and provide guidance to other team members as needed.
About you
- Strong analytical background with the ability to apply skills in a commercial environment and make an impact from day one.
- Solid data analytics experience, data quality awareness, and confidence working with large datasets.
- Actuarial experience in pensions, life, or general insurance pricing is welcome but not required.
- Mathematical and analytical mindset with problem-solving ability to draw meaningful insights from data.
- SQL or coding experience is useful; a willingness to learn and develop in this area is important.
- Experience in the insurance industry is advantageous but not prerequisite.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration; ability to communicate technical information to audiences with varying levels of technical skill.
- Evidence of qualities: inquisitive mindset, tenacity, continuous improvement approach, resilience, and drive to complete tasks.
