About the role

We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Assistant Underwriter to join our Large Corporate Insurance (LCI) underwriting team in Stratford-upon-Avon. Our Large Corporate Insurance underwriting function is responsible for underwriting, administering and servicing NFU Mutual\’s largest clients and most complex risks. This role offers you the opportunity to learn whilst working in a varied role, gaining exposure to underwriting, and developing your internal network with opportunities to make real, long-lasting connections.

As LCI Assistant Underwriter, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks, including supporting the Senior Leadership Team, with travel arrangements, arranging meetings, organising away-day events, populating spreadsheets with claims data, managing the team inbox, responding to email queries, and handling mid-term adjustment (MTA) activities via our workflow system.

This opportunity has arisen due to an internal promotion, reflecting the scope for progression. There are many opportunities to learn and develop, whether into an underwriter role or transferring skills across the division. We support our employees’ growth.

This role is based at our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon, with flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.

You are detail-oriented, pride yourself on accuracy, and are proactive. You have strong Excel skills, a keen eye for data, and excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders. You are curious, collaborative, and eager to build your career.
