This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to coordinate, govern, report on and champion release activity in liaison with key IT and business stakeholders. You will ensure that IT releases are delivered in line with quality and time parameters and minimise the risk and impact to the company’s live IT systems environment.
- Coordinate, govern and control the delivery of releases in adherence to the Secure Software Development Lifecycle policy across all resolver teams and partners to minimise the impact and frequency of defects and errors in production.
- Chair, manage, track and report on operational readiness process and meetings, holding key stakeholders to account to ensure that all agreed governance criteria have been met before the release is deployed into production.
- Manage the release process and chair meetings in order to evaluate any associated risks gaining consensus and sign off from key stakeholders. Provide an agreed ‘go’ or ‘no go’ decision documenting the risk and impact of a release to both IT and the wider NFUM business. Act as a final release gateway and trigger the appropriate downstream policy.
- Oversee and coordinate the planning of key release milestones including release window scheduling and promotion of code through environments, ensuring that release timelines can be met and changes can be correctly scheduled.
- Anticipate, monitor, coordinate and report on progress, risks and issues within a Release Cycle in line with NFU Mutual Risk Policy and Standard Documentation and Processes to protect the production environment.
- Represent the interests of release during the early life support phase of a change initiative making informed decisions and holding others to account for actions, ensuring effective control measures are met and initiatives transition smoothly into BAU operations.
