About the role
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an Investment Performance and Risk Manager to join our Investment Management team, on a 24 month fixed term contract. The role will lead and manage the Middle Office and will give you exposure to a range of different areas such as investment performance reporting and analysis, preparation of Committee packs, and monitoring of compliance and investment and operational risks.
The Middle Office also oversee finance budgets for the Investment Team and work closely with Fund Managers to ensure our internal and external investment mandate guidelines and rules are being followed. You\’ll be involved in ensuring your team are delivering and show great leadership skills in motivating and developing a high-performing team.
You will lead efforts to assess and enhance investment performance reporting while developing and optimising the measurement and reporting of risk measures. The role will bring opportunities to take on ad hoc project work along with a wide variety of tasks.
About you
You will have experience of working in and managing Middle Office functions within an Investment Operations environment, with knowledge of investment performance reporting, risk and compliance. You\’ll come with sound investment knowledge and bring with you established line management experience covering appraisals, training and development of direct reports. You\’ll have excellent numerical, analytical skills with excellent communication skills (written and verbal). You\’ll have knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and regulatory requirements.

- Degree or equivalent appropriate professional qualification
- A high level of investment related work experience
- Strong understanding of financial markets and related systems
- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
- Experience of conducting performance analysis and reporting
