Support the integrity and understanding of data across the Life Pensions & Investments Business. Play a key role in implementing business change and maintaining data quality, from impact analysis and first investigation through to final sign off. Hybrid 80% homeworking and 20% from Stratford Upon Avon.
NFU Mutual has created this role following the successful delivery of new reporting and analytics capabilities in the Financial Services Business (Life, Pensions & Investments). You'll join the Financial Services Data and Analytics team, part of the Financial Planning & Analysis function, at an exciting stage in their journey, helping ensure the information used for reporting and decision making is accurate, consistent and well understood. You'll investigate data changes and issues across a variety of data sources, database structures, transformations and business rules. Using SQL, you'll extract and interrogate data, trace defects through data transformations to their source and assess any downstream impact. You will work with Finance, data and technology teams to agree practical solutions that meet data governance expectations. You will work with IT colleagues to deliver change and ensuring solutions are fully tested and approved before implementation. Your work will strengthen data quality, support trusted reporting and help NFU Mutual make well informed business decisions.
This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford Upon Avon. However, we understand how important a positive work life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work up to 80% of your hours from home.
About you
- Practical SQL capability, with experience of reading and writing queries and understanding stored procedures and scripts.
- Understanding of databases, data models and reporting environments, including data transformations.
- Experience of tracing data flows, diagnosing data quality issues and validating discrepancies to produce accurate, reliable outputs.
- Experience of assessing data changes, testing solutions and creating clear supporting documentation.
- Proven experience of data analysis and data driven insight using SQL or Python and Power BI.
- Experience of Azure, Power Apps, Power Automate, data ingestion and Life, Pensions & Investments business or insurance is desirable.
