About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team as a Commercial Sales Executive, building strong relationships with both new and existing customers. You will be expected to prospect and generate new leads, identify cross sell opportunities and develop relationships to win new business. You'll play a key role in supporting and growing the Commercial SME portfolio by delivering excellent customer service, identifying new opportunities, and helping customers find the right solutions for their needs. To succeed in this role, you'll be a natural relationship builder with a genuine passion for providing high-quality service that reflects our values and commitment to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver sales pipelines and strategies to acquire and retain commercial SME business
- Assist the wider business growth by proactively seeking opportunities for cross selling additional products and services
- Support the delivery of marketing campaigns in a manner that reflects our values and helps raise our local profile.
- Consistently provide excellent levels of customer service in all interactions with customers, delivering on promises, meeting their needs and exceeding expectations.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and key contacts.
- Ensure customer requests, records, and documentation are handled accurately and in line with regulatory and compliance requirements
- Be responsible for ongoing technical and professional knowledge and skills development
About you
- Full driving licence and own vehicle required (mileage expenses paid)
- Strong track record of consultative sales, new business development and relationship management, ideally within the insurance or financial sectors
- A results-driven approach to work in order to meet targets and deliver results to tight deadlines
- Strong negotiation abilities
- Confident operating with business owners and decision makers and with complex conversations
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of the financial services sector.
