Your opportunity as an Agency Partner
We are looking for an experienced individual to join our thriving Forfar agency as a business Partner. Forfar is currently a 2 agent partnership and the role is to replace the current Partner who will be relocating within NFU Mutual. This is a self employed opportunity but requires no upfront capital investment. The agency has a healthy well established book of farming and general clients with retention rates of 96%. The agency benefits from not only an experienced Senior Partner but also an experienced team.
The agency has ambitious growth targets and you would be expected to work with the existing Senior Partner to develop and implement a business plan to achieve the growth plans for the agency. We are looking for you to bring fresh innovative ideas and solutions to the table and assist in executing these successfully to drive the business forward.
This means you’ll need a combination of personal and professional qualities. You’ll be an excellent communicator, great with people from a wide range of backgrounds, with the ability to spot a sales opportunity and develop new business. You will need to demonstrate a proven track record ideally within Insurance sales/Financial services or have an affiliation with farming. Either or you will need a particular focus on building long term customer relationships.
This is a hands on role where you will be leading and aligning your team to help deliver the values and aspirations of the partnership. You will b developing and working on your own pipeline of opportunities as well as ensuring a first class service is maintained with our existing customers.
NFU Scotland Group Secretary
You’ll also play a major role in the farming community as your area’s NFU Scotland's Group Secretary. NFU Scotland represent the voice of agriculture up to the highest levels. You’ll play a major role in this, championing local farmers’ interests, arranging local meetings and events, recruiting and retaining members and keeping them up-to-date on union policy. This will put you at the heart of the local rural community, giving you the chance to make the most of new business opportunities for your agency. With full backing from the union, you’ll have access to expert advice and specialist support on everything from policy and increasing membership to marketing and media.
