We’re hiring for a Health and Safety Consultant to support our growing Health and Safety team! To keep up with our growth in the UK and Ireland, we’re looking for a dedicated Health and Safety Consultant to join our dynamic Health and Safety team. Putting people first is at the heart of everything we do, and that extends to our clients as well as our employees.
As one of our Health and Safety Consultants, you will be part of our growing team in the West Midlands and plan and execute a variety of health & safety tasks, including:
- Audits
- Inspections
- Health and safety gap analysis reports
- Risk assessments
- Method statements
We’re looking for someone with:
- A high standard of report and document writing skills
- Strong IT skills
- Logical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Good commercial awareness
- Ability to research and apply advice, based upon the clients’ legal duties
- Full clean UK driving licence as client base is primarily West & East Midlands
- Access to your own vehicle with appropriate business insurance cover
- Experience within Construction, Manufacturing, Engineering or Warehouse/Transport is advantageous
- Level 6 Health and Safety qualification is essential. Examples include NEBOSH Diploma and NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Safety & Health
Using these skills, you’ll be:
- Visiting clients and undertaking full health and safety audits and inspections using i-Auditor software
- Managing your own diary, keeping in regular contact with clients, answering health and safety related queries
- Producing health and safety audit reports, identifying areas where improvements are required and advising the client on improvement options moving forward
- Reviewing the production of policies, risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
- Supporting the client with other safety related systems and processes, such as Incident investigation, RIDDOR advice, COSHH documentation and management, workplace transport and asbestos management
- Acting as the key point of contact (competent advisor) for the client on any health and safety related matters
- Assisting clients with the management and attainment of industry accreditations, such as CHAS, Safecontractor or Constructionline
