We are seeking a passionate and experienced Service Manager to lead and inspire a team providing outstanding supported living services.
Salary: £35,137.71 (Rising to £36,358.34 after 18 months based on performance)
Location: Derby
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
Contract: Permanent

About the Role
As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the operational delivery of two key supported living schemes in Derby:
- Centenary House is a supported living scheme for customers with high risk, complex needs.
- Newstead House is a supported living scheme for women at risk, with low/medium needs.
You will provide motivational leadership to a dedicated team, ensuring a safe, customer-focused environment. Your role will include managing resources, budgets, staff development, and ensuring compliance with all regulations, as well as fostering strong relationships with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team, fostering a positive work environment that promotes wellbeing and high performance.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of Centenary House and Newstead House, ensuring that service delivery is aligned with customer needs.
- Manage service budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
- Develop, implement, and monitor person-centred support plans for customers.
- Maintain a high standard of communication and reporting, ensuring all documentation is clear, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, safeguarding, and all relevant regulations.
- Lead on the recruitment and development of team members, providing training and coaching to maximise their potential.
- Handle tenancy and housing management tasks, including rent collection, welfare checks, and property maintenance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, housing providers, and community services.
About You

- Experienced in managing teams within a supported housing environment, especially with vulnerable or diverse groups.
- Highly organised with strong project management skills and the ability to juggle priorities effectively.
- A confident decision-maker with excellent conflict resolution skills.
- Passionate about delivering quality services, with the ability to empower and motivate your team.
- Skilled in using IT and databases, with experience in reporting and data analysis.
- Knowledgeable in the principles of support services, and committed to driving service improvements.
Desirable:
- Experience of managing contracts and achieving KPIs.
- Financial management experience, including budget oversight.
- A recognised care or housing qualification.
