Service Manager - Homelessness and Support We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead vital homelessness prevention, housing support and energy advice services in Leicestershire.

Position: Service Manager: Homelessness and Support Location: Charnwood, Leicestershire and remote, with travel across the local area

Salary: Β£35,020 FTE (Β£21,295 pro rata)

Hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week

About the Role

This is an opportunity to lead and develop services that help people experiencing homelessness, housing instability and financial hardship move towards safer, more secure lives. You will provide day-to-day leadership to teams delivering homelessness prevention, home energy advice and housing support services. You will ensure services are safe, effective, person-centred and responsive to local need, while meeting funding, regulatory and organisational requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading, supervising and developing staff and volunteers Monitoring service performance, outcomes and key performance indicators Overseeing complex cases, safeguarding concerns, complaints and service risks Ensuring accurate records and reports are maintained Using service data, feedback and learning to improve quality and outcomes Building effective relationships with local authorities, housing providers, health services, funders and community partners Contributing to funding applications, service reviews and organisational planning You will not routinely hold a caseload but will provide guidance and support when complex situations arise.

About You

You will have experience managing staff, volunteers or services within homelessness, housing, advice, community support or a related setting. You will also bring: Knowledge of the challenges facing people experiencing homelessness or disadvantage Experience of monitoring performance and improving service quality A sound understanding of adult safeguarding, confidentiality and information sharing Strong leadership, organisation and decision-making skills Experience of partnership working and producing clear reports The ability to manage competing priorities and respond calmly to operational challenges A respectful, inclusive and non-judgemental approach Knowledge of homelessness legislation, housing options, tenancy sustainment or funded service delivery would be an advantage.

You will need a full driving licence and access to a vehicle, or another reliable means of travelling across Charnwood and Leicestershire. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
