Key Responsibilities
- Risk Management
- Develop and implement organisation-wide risk management frameworks.
- Lead risk assessments and internal audits, including data protection impact assessments.
- Manage insurance coverage and travel risk protocols.
- Handle serious incident and personal data breach reporting.
- Support reporting to the Audit, Finance & Risk sub-committee.
- Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and best practice codes.
- Assist the Data Protection Officer in monitoring data protection compliance.
- Lead Know Your Client (KYC) and anti-money laundering processes.
- Manage whistleblowing and fraud prevention systems.
- Uphold policies on gifts, hospitality, and ethical conduct.
- Legal and Contract Management
- Review and negotiate contracts and grants.
- Provide general legal support and ensure corporate legal compliance.
- Procurement and Supplier Ethics
- Lead ethical procurement processes and supplier compliance checks.
- Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)
- Drive environmental policies and donor acceptance ethics.
- Promote ESG initiatives across the organisation.
- Financial Controls and Training
- Strengthen financial controls in collaboration with finance leadership.
- Conduct staff training on compliance and risk awareness.
- Monitor and evolve compliance policies including anti-fraud and whistleblowing protocols.
