We are looking for an experienced Regional Operations Manager (Area Manager) to work for a national charity supporting people with autism, learning disabilities and mental health needs. They put people at the centre of everything they do, ensuring the support provided truly meets their needs.

Location: Sutton and Merton. You will be based at the Deptford office with regular travel to different services and sites.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £49,669.22 per annum (Plus £2,600 London weighting)

Hours: Full time

As Regional Operations Manager you will be responsible for services in Sutton and Merton. You will support, coach, and guide the service managers and teams to deliver high-quality care that reflects the values and mission of the charity. You will oversee the day to day running of several services that support adults with learning disabilities, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly and that the people supported receive the best care possible.

We are looking for someone who communicates well and feels confident working with families, commissioners, and other professionals. You will be passionate about helping people with learning disabilities live fulfilling lives. You should be motivated, well-organised, and comfortable leading teams. We are also looking for someone who can inspire others, drive positive change, and stay committed to promoting people’s rights and upholding the values of the charity.

Requirements include:

  • Previous experience in a similar operational or leadership role
  • Knowledge of adult social care, particularly services for people with learning disabilities
  • Able to register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for the regulated activity of ‘personal care’.
  • Comfortable working as part of a wider management team to ensure services are high quality and financially sustainable
  • A driving licence and willing to travel

The organisation is a national charitable Community Benefit Society (CBS) formed in 1984, supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs across England. They employ around 2,800 staff who support approximately 1,500 people to live the lives they choose.
