Strategic Change Lead

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Change Lead to help an international children's charity turn ambitious plans into lasting, people-focused change.

Salary: Β£45,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid, with 2 to 3 days per week in Milton Keynes
Hours: Full time, 36.5 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term, 12 months

About the role

Help shape how an organisation works, strengthen its culture and support greater impact for vulnerable children.

As the charity launches its new three-year strategy, you will lead the people side of its transformation, ensuring colleagues understand, embrace and sustain new ways of working.

Reporting to the Programme Director, you will work closely with senior leaders, project owners, People and Culture, and Internal Communications to turn strategic ambitions into practical change.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing a practical change management framework to support delivery of the strategy.
  • Building and supporting a network of change champions across the organisation.
  • Coaching and equipping leaders to guide their teams confidently through change.
  • Creating engaging communications, tools, workshops and training for different audiences.
  • Assessing change impacts and organisational readiness, identifying barriers and supporting adoption.
  • Using data, feedback and insight to measure progress and improve the approach.

About you

You will bring significant experience of leading complex organisational change, alongside strong project or programme management skills.

You will have experience delivering cross-functional plans, managing risks and milestones, and providing clear reporting. Confident engaging stakeholders at every level, you will know how to build trust, coach leaders and develop internal capability.

You will also bring:

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience creating practical change tools, learning resources and adoption measures.
  • Sound judgement, strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • A proactive approach to changing priorities and ambiguity.

Applicants must be willing to work within a Christian framework and be sensitive to its expression across different cultures and denominations.
