Job Description Deputy Outreach Manager \n We are seeking an experienced people manager to lead high-quality services and improve outcomes for young people facing homelessness and complex challenges. \n Salary: Β£32,606 per annum Location: North Tyneside Hours: 37.5 hours per week Contract: Permanent, full time Closing date: 1 October 2026 \n About the role \n Be the difference for young people facing homelessness. \n As Deputy Outreach Manager, you will help lead services supporting young people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or experiencing other complex challenges. You will supervise and inspire frontline colleagues, maintain high standards of support and housing management, and help young people move towards safer, more independent futures. \n Working closely with the wider management team, you will make confident decisions, manage risk and ensure services operate safely and effectively. You will also develop strong relationships with commissioners, stakeholders and delivery partners, representing the service at regular meetings and supporting successful partnership working. \n Your key responsibilities will include: \n \n \n Supervising and supporting teams and individual staff members \n Ensuring young people receive safe, consistent and person-centred support \n Overseeing safeguarding, risk assessments and support planning \n Maintaining effective housing management and service standards \n Monitoring health and safety through regular checks, risk assessments and reporting \n Helping to manage local project budgets and resources \n Building productive relationships with commissioners, stakeholders and partner agencies \n Working with internal teams, including Finance, HR, Quality and Compliance, Fundraising and Communications \n Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation and continued development of the service \n \n \n About you \n You will be an experienced and proactive manager who can lead people, manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in complex situations. \n You will bring: \n \n \n Experience of supervising teams and individual staff members \n Experience of delivering safe services to young people at risk, both in accommodation and within the community \n Strong decision-making and risk management skills \n Experience of safeguarding children and young people \n Knowledge of risk assessments and support planning \n Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills \n Strong professional boundaries and personal integrity \n The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners \n A commitment to equality, diversity, dignity and respect \n \n \n Experience of working within Ofsted requirements would be desirable but is not essential. \n About the organisation \n You will be joining an established national charity providing accommodation, prevention and support services to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. \n The organisation is committed to ensuring the people it supports have a meaningful voice in how services are designed, delivered and improved. \n Benefits include 26 days' annual leave, increasing with service, pension contributions of up to 7%, tailored training and development, flexible working options where suitable, a cash health plan, Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 GP access and a range of retail, travel and wellbeing discounts. \n Other roles you may have experience of could include: Co-production Manager, Participation Manager, Lived Experience Manager, Service User Involvement Manager, Engagement Manager, Client Engagement Manager, Community Engagement Manager or Participation and Engagement Manager. \n Please note this role is advertised by the recruitment agency acting for the client - Not For Profit People. #INDNFP \n \n JBRP1_UKTJ
