We’re hiring for a Senior Tax Associate
We’re NFP, an Aon Company, and we provide services and solutions to support businesses and people. We have capabilities that extend around the globe, including here in the UK, Ireland, EMEA, APAC and North America. It’s a time of rapid growth for the European arm of the business, so we are looking for someone to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team and will be given the opportunity to work with some exciting clients.
Overview of duties
- Actively manage your own assigned portfolio of clients to support their day-to-day UK tax compliance requirements, explaining their tax reporting obligations and notifying them of upcoming deadlines.
- Correspond with clients regarding their queries, and request the information required to complete their annual filings, including liaising with internal teams (Accounts, Business Management & Payroll).
- Prepare complex UK tax returns, accurately capturing information, analysing the information and communicating the tax implications to the senior management or clients.
- Review and draft initial tax advisory work for individuals and support management with complex advisory work.
- Oversee and delegate work to junior staff, including reviewing work and helping monitor and manage deadlines.
- Manage own workload and prioritise effectively.
- Participate in internal Tax Technical training sessions.
Person specification
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Ability to grasp technical concepts and a keen interest in furthering learning and researching legislation to prepare technical responses to clients.
- Clear written and oral communication skills, with an ability to explain complex concepts succinctly and accurately.
- Problem-solving abilities to deal with client queries and issues and satisfactorily resolve them, escalating queries where required.
- Ability to work productively under pressure and to very tight deadlines.
- Self-confident, personable, and proactive, with the drive and ambition to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and the team.
- Attention to detail, ensuring that all work prepared is to a high standard.
Education / and or Experience
- 2 years+ experience in a personal tax role with experience of working with Owner Managed Businesses.
- Completed ATT and CTA qualification, or working towards.

Location: Bromsgrove
Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 Hours
