We’re hiring a Technical Claims Handler to support our growing Commercial Insurance team in the UK and Ireland. As a Technical Claims Handler, you will act as a technical referral point for less experienced handlers, ensuring complex claims are managed effectively and clients receive exceptional advocacy throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Handle complex and technical claims across multiple commercial lines, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Interpret policy wordings and coverage issues, especially in relation to property and business interruption claims.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through the claims process and advocating on their behalf with insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors, and other third parties.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to progress claims.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years’ experience in commercial insurance claims handling, ideally within a broker, carrier, or adjusting environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of policy wordings and coverage interpretation.
- Extensive exposure to property damage and business interruption claims.
- Experience working with SME to large corporate clients across various sectors.
- Proven ability to manage complex, high‑value, or contentious claims.
