Key Responsibilities

  • The equivalent of an assistant management accountant role, but incorporated within a practice.
  • Supporting the management of a portfolio of clients and taking responsibility for ensuring their bookkeeping, management reporting and any ad-hoc tasks are prepared to a high standard and on a timely basis.
  • Preparation of the bookkeeping on Xero.
  • Preparation of management accounts and reports.
  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • Contacting suppliers to verify bank details and processing payments, initially onto our internal system and eventually onto our client’s online banking platform.

Attributes, Requirements, Skills

  • Bookkeeping to AAT Level 2 or equivalent preferred, school leavers and graduates considered.
  • Committed to maintaining their technical knowledge to a high level.
  • Competent using MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Competent using Xero.
  • Good people and communication skills, including telephone manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure with accuracy and focus.
