Our Maintenance Technician supports the property team to ensure maintenance tasks are completed on time and to a high quality. This role involves visiting our nurseries to assist with repairs, scheduled works (including Health & Safety issues) and providing support to the Maintenance Team and other nursery team members.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of our buildings to ensure that they meet health and safety standards and legal requirements.
  • Travel to our various nursery sites to carry out routine maintenance visits & work to a planned monthly visit schedule.
  • Strong communication with our nursery teams regularly.
  • Be responsible for building-related procurement.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs within 24 hours.
  • Work a flexible shift pattern, including some evening and weekend work.
  • Managing maintenance expenses.
  • You will be expected to work and stay away on occasion if required.

You should have:

  • Experience in the property and construction industry.
  • Experience in plumbing, electrical and joinery work is essential.
  • A qualification in plumbing or electrics is preferable.
  • Competency in basic building repairs.
  • Ability to use tools and operate equipment.
  • Must have a full clean driving licence (Expenses will be reimbursed).
