Our Nursery Development Team, launched January 2026, exists to unlock the full potential of nurseries across N Family Club. This dynamic team partners with nurseries that need targeted support, bringing energy, hands-on guidance, and expert coaching to raise quality, strengthen leadership, and build confident, capable teams. Whether you’re a Development Nursery Manager, Deputy, Room Manager, or Educator, your purpose is the same: to help every nursery be the best it can be.
Through mentoring, modelling best practice, and providing practical support, the team drives improvement, nurtures excellence, and ensures children and families consistently experience the highest standards of care and education.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver and model N Family Club’s ‘learning through play’ educational ethos and N Curriculum, supporting colleagues to understand and implement it consistently.
- Implement the pattern of the day and routines thoughtfully, guiding teams to maintain structure while promoting flexibility for children’s needs.
- Plan and deliver innovative learning experiences that challenge children’s development and demonstrate best practice to team members.
- Lead high-quality observations, assessments, and planning, coaching others to use these tools effectively to track progress and inform practice.
- Ensure key transitions in the room (sleep times, mealtimes, outings) occur smoothly and support team members in managing these successfully.
- Supervise mealtimes and adhere to all N mealtime policies, supporting teams to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
- Follow all policies and procedures and support colleagues in understanding and embedding them in daily practice.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, modelling excellent communication and family engagement.
- Promote and role-model safeguarding and child welfare procedures, supporting the team to maintain vigilance and confidence in practice.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained, and lead by example in everyday tasks.
- Conduct daily Health & Safety checks, following up on concerns and coaching teams to uphold safety standards.
- Drive the embedding of policies, procedures, and best practices within the team, encouraging consistency and accountability.
- Commit to reflective practice, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting others to do the same.
- Lead by example in implementing behavioural safety within the nursery and reinforcing positive practices.
Our Development Early Years Educators should have:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (ideally as a room manager, nursery practitioner, nursery nurse or early years educator).
- Level 2 or above Early Years qualification (full & relevant).
- Paediatric First Aid (12 hours) and a willingness to train.
- Up-to-date safeguarding knowledge (or willingness to refresh).
- A genuine passion for education and changing the lives of children.
- A team player with a can-do attitude and positive mindset.
- Confident communicator with a love for customer service.
